The authors present new information, including recent findings about self-neglect, sexual abuse, and abuse in nursing homes, and translate this new information into practical, pragmatic applications.They also present for our consideration, new models to augment, complement, or reinforce those which have predominated in the field, pointing out their significance and instructing us in how they can be applied. Finally, the book provides practical, "hands-on" advice and suggestions in how to conduct investigations and interventions and how to demystify the diverse and complex systems which make up the service delivery network.
